Two new pixies - Samkin and Turgool !!

Just finished these two little ones off today!!

Samkin loves nothing more then to play with the wild Fay of Nightswood, so much so, that he have been given his very own 'wild wings' by The Earthen Fay herself. Samkin can not fly as high as his wild Fay friends, or as fast, but he is quite proud of his Fay wings.. even if they do tire him out.. .

Turgool is a charming little pixie who lives at the edge of the Ashen Fens, just south of the heart of Nightswood. He spends his days gathering rare herbs and chatting to the (often strange) fen creatures.
Tea and sweets await any who wander south to visit this little fellow.

These two are currently up on ebay.

Della and Dirlyn - two new felted bears

I have had these two little bears sitting on my work table (well one of them) for the past 3 weeks, I finally got a bit of time and finished them off.
I have given these little ones vellum wings instead of transparent ones, the pastel colours come out better on vellum paper because it is opaque, the transparent wings still have a brightness about them even when it is a pastel colour… not even sure if that makes any sense.. but anyway..

They are both up on ebay.

On another note, my flocking arrived today!!!!!!! I can now finally finish my autumn fay!!

The Goblin Ball

It has been a while since I posted. I have been so busy of late, running around making custom wings for people and my ebay ones on top of that. I have also just finished off 2 little felt bears and not to forget my entry for the IADR's May Show.

The Goblin Ball
By Ksheyna Nightswood

She was inspired by the ballroom scene from The Labyrinth.
I had quite a lot of fun with this one. I spent all of May designing her, and most of June was finding the right materials. The mask is one of my favourite parts to this doll ( that and the little goblin), it started out as a flat piece of foil, shaped then cut down to size. (I plan on making a few life-size masks to go on my wall based on this one.)
The hardest parts... those eyelashes. I lost a few... more then a few, one moment they were there the next gone!! The most enlightening part was her hair, I usually keep my dolls hair simple and sweet, but not this one, simple and sweet would have been far to out of place. I found a YouTube video 'Labyrinth Ballroom Scene Hair' which was stunning, there was no way I could have done it with out it.
