Two new Art Dolls - The Princess and the Pixie!!

The past few days have been rather hectic for me, I have been busy working on my first Fallenroot pixie and on my entry to the IADR Show - Nursery Rhymes. I was not going to make an Art Doll for this show, but at the last minute (5 days till it closed) I changed my mind!!

Meet Bilgetail, a nasty little Fallenroot pixie.  Fallenroot pixies are Treeroot pixies that have gone wild and corrupt. They are much darker in colour and are quite nasty in nature, they would not think twice about tripping you over if they see you pass by. Fallenroot pixies can be found in the Shadows of Nightswood (not that you would want to find one!!!) they can sometimes be glimpsed moving through the shadows and under rotten leaf litter.

I had a little nut tree

I had a little nut tree,
Nothing would it bear,
But a silver nutmeg
And a golden pear.
The King of Spain's daughter
Came to visit me,
And all for the sake of my little nut tree!

I skipped over water,
I danced over sea,
And all the birds in the air,
Couldn't catch me!

I am more then happy with how this piece has turned out. I chose to sculpt 'The King of Spain's daughter'  with the nut tree purely for the dress and ruff (the white collar). The princess, the pear and nutmeg, and the pot and 'turned wood' pot stand have all been hand sculpted in great detail out of a mixture of polymer clays.
